HAWAII DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | VALERIE + TRISTAN | OAHU, HI

The best part of our job is the connection we make and keep with the couples we photograph. One thing we loved about Valerie + Tristan is that they are rule breakers and are totally okay with going the non-traditional route. They met while studying in the Netherlands 4 years ago. Shout out to Mercedes Benz ;) they literally started dating the second after they were introduced. Hawaii had meant so much to Valerie ever since she was 16 and Tristan decided to take it to the next level and ask her to marry him the day before they flew back home to Germany.

After months of planning a small wedding in Germany they decided to ditch their plans and elope on Oahu instead and boy are we so glad they did!

We photographed some getting ready shots at Turtle Bay, then blindfolded Tristan so we could all ride together as we drove them to their first look location. After seeing each other for the first we gave them a moment to themselves as they kissed and told each other how good they looked.

We hopped back in the car and hiked to the top of the mountain where they exchanged vows and celebrated with some champagne popping. They slow danced to no music and we lit sparklers after sunset.

IT WAS THE BEST DAY!
